While Roundabout's The Understudy, starring Julie White, Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Justin Kirk, takes the Laura Pels Theater above, new musical Ordinary Days will make its New York stage debut below in Roundabout Underground's Black Box Theater at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre. Starring Hunter Foster (Urinetown, Little Shop of Horrors), Lisa Brescia (Wicked), Jared Gertner (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee) and Kate Wetherhead (Legally Blonde), the original musical tells the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives are unexpectedly interconnected by circumstance. The show's series of funny and fortuitous events, penned by Adam Gwon and helmed by Marc Bruni, marks Roundabout Underground's first musical, following on the heels of the newly formed initiative's plays Speech and Debate and The Language of Trees. The cast and creative team of the new musical had a less-than-ordinary day on September 11, when they stepped out en masse to meet the press at Roundabout's rehearsal studios.
